About Me

Hello, my name is Keenan and I am from West Bloomfield, Michigan. I am a journalist and content creator based in the metro Detroit area. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2019 and earned my B.A.A with a major in broadcast and cinematic arts and a minor in journalism.

During my time in college I was able to learn what its like to work in a newsroom and meet deadlines set by the producers. Having an award winning TV station on the universities campus was a great way for me to get the experience I needed to prepare for my career after school. The journalism program I was in helped me become a stronger writer and taught me how to keep the readers engaged.

I wanted to use what I learned to work in either automotive or sports media. Being raised around the Motor City, I leaned more towards working with cars due to more opportunities being available.

In June of 2021, I began my automotive fellowship with Hearst Autos. I started off with a 3 month stint with Autoweek where I wrote stories and attended special events. The next 3 months I worked with Car and Driver and worked as a road warrior most of the time and drove cars from the office to the testing facility and even did some testing of my own on occasion. I also got the chance to work with the news team and buyers guide on specific projects they asked me to help with. On the final week of my fellowship I was offered an extension and I gladly accepted the offer to be a member of the team until the end of March 2022.
